Graphic Design & Artworking
In the late 1980s before Apple Macs were widely on the scene I trained for 2 years at the London School of Design & Print as a conventional typesetter. My skills then transferred into QuarkXPress and then onto the Adobe Creative Suite.
During my career the graphic design industry has undergone amazing changes, but those core skills of typography, precision and attention to detail needed to produce the highest quality page layout still endure and make every project stand head and shoulders above all others which just appear average by comparison.
A level of expertise that really sets me apart from other freelancers is that I also teach InDesign and Quark. In order to do so I have an encyclopaedic knowledge of the software. This allows me to use the programmes in my artworking to their utmost potential and efficiency, thus hugely benefiting my clients in terms of quality, time and cost of their projects.
I have had the pleasure of working for:
The BBC, Kuoni, Fabergé, Fred Olsen, Body Shop, Danone, Swissôtel, TfL, Bio-Oil, EnterpriseMouchel, Morison International, KPMG, Environment Agency, DTI, Coral, Kirker, University of Sussex, British Museum, Universal, The Royal Collection, Institute of Biology, pharmaceutical companies such as Pfizer, Bayer and GlaxoSmithKline and many local businesses.
